I am Jeannette
I am an award-winning bilingual travel journalist, television host, and global public speaker with over ten years of experience. My mother shared that I had my passport when I was nine months old. I was born to be a jetsetter! As a teenager, I wrote my first travel journal on a two-week family trip to Europe. That's when I knew that I wanted to be a travel journalist.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Belmont University and completed the Professional Program in Producing at the University of California, Los Angeles. While at Belmont, I interned at Fox News Chicago, WTVF- CBS in Nashville, the Tennessean newspaper, and completed the Chips Quinn Scholar Program for Diversity in Journalism.
As a seasoned and bilingual journalist, I cover travel in English and Spanish, and I am known for my expertise in women's travel, luxury travel, and diversity. My dedication to travel has taken her to over 60 countries to date. I have appeared as an on-air travel expert on BBC World News, ABC7 Los Angeles, WTTW Chicago, Mexico Travel Channel, FOX 11 Los Angeles, Spectrum News 1 Los Angeles, ABC 10 News San Diego, Univision, KUSI News, Good Day Austin/Fox 7 Austin, and other prominent media outlets worldwide.
A respected and sought-after host, I have been the Master of Ceremony, Emcee, and Moderator at many international events, including the Solidarity to Overcome Disaster Conference at the European Parliament, The Global Tourism Forum in Turkey, The New York Travel Festival, The Forbes Travel Guide Summit, The Changemakers Awards, The Global Voice Awards, The Latinas in Aviation Global Festival, and The Impact Travel Immersion Global Conference.
In 2018, I was the Official Travel Host for The World Woman Summit at The Clinton Presidential Center. The following year, I was recognized as one of the Top 20 Global Women of Excellence by U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis and the Multi-Ethnic Advisory Task Force at the 7th Annual International Women's Day Celebration.
